Area of Awareness

Education for Human Development and Solidarity (EHDS)

Objectives

Publicize and touch on the Millennium Development Goals as well as on the necessity of our participation and commitment to achieve them.

Touch on PROYDE´s social base and the society in general through the development projects and programs, coordinating activities of EHD with projects, or programs in at least three projects.

Activities:

Fulfill and give vivacity to the Campaign inspired in the 8th MDG, ¨The digital gap distances us more from those who have less, ¨ and with the slogan ¨They unify us, but they separate us, ¨ by means of application of the awareness and education materials that have been prepared and distributed.

From the perspective of Quality Education, so that the campaign has a connection with the previous topic, ¨The technology gap, ¨ we must create the education and awareness materials on ¨The Right to a Quality Education, ¨ alluding to the 2nd ODM, in collaboration with the other Lasallian NGO: SED, PROCLADE, and YANAPAY.

Create the scripts for the four programs broadcasted in TVE, in the program People of God, and many other projects in Thailand. Also, ensure these get to the local delegations.

Fulfill, in collaboration with the Communication Department, the Study of impact of the curricular and non-curricular materials in PROYDE´s MDG by educative levels, and at least have one local delegation per region, that will guarantee a displayed representation of 75%.

Fulfill at least three EHDS tasks based on projects and activities linked to volunteer work.

In collaboration with the Lasallian NGO, elaborate and fulfill the specific tasks in order to promote Education for Human Development in the sphere of education, with the plan of teacher training and the knowledge for projects, in collaboration with other Education Departments in the school centers.

Fair Trade

Objectives

Consolidate the network of Fair Trade, by training involved personnel, the company, the communication strategies, the self management, and the exchange of experiences.

Increase the sales of the store located in the main center up to 5% with respect to 2012 and increase the ability to create awareness on Fair Trade and other areas PROYDE works with. 

 Spread the purpose of Fair Trade, especially in the corporate sector, as the alternative way to a conventional commerce that promotes attitudes with commitment and responsible consumption.

Activities

Awareness

Finalize the project ¨Educative Centers for FT¨ and evaluate its continuation in joint with our sponsors and delegations.

Continue to share awareness materials and experiences on the web and with other entities.

Sales

Maintain the levels of sales of the previous year (2012), regardless of the economic crisis

Continue the actions of marketing, applying the marketing plan for 2013

Diversify the channels of distribution, put into operation our on-line store and promote it. Increase the number of hours of operation in the store located in the Main Center. 

Increase, through Fair Trade, the proximity and contact our cooperation has with the beneficiaries. Develop information about the producers and associate projects with Fair Trade´s work.

Online Work

Strengthen our website in order to benefit meeting spaces, share experiences, and improve our channels of communication (internally and externally).

Facilitate the work on the web with other organizations similar to Fair Trade.

Research and Advocacy

Objective 1

Put into operation a department of Social Impact (advocacy and social mobilization) and research, with PROCLADE and SED.

Activities

Establish a common long term strategy (integrating it with the work of EHDS) and communication for the new department of social impact. 
Together SED - PROCLADE - PROYDE will hire a Social Impact expert.

Confection of an Annual Plan with objectives, calendar, and resources for the new department of Social Impact.

Carry out a specific research on Cooperation towards Human Development, in collaboration with Latin-American Universities.

Objective 2

Strengthen the outline of PROYDE´s Social Impact Department through other actions and departments: Africa Campaign and Fair Trade.

Activities

Initiate a new Campaign Strategy ¨Africa, A matter of life, A matter of deed, ¨ in the topic of the Stripping of Natural Resources.

Take advantage of our tasks within Fair Trade to create an impact on an ¨Economy for Development,¨ contributing to the common strategy: SED-PROCLADE-PROYDE

Department of Communications

Objectives

Initiate the Plan for Communication through PROYDE´s Department of Communication by coordinating action plans in the five Territorial Delegations (TD) and the alumni associations (AA). 

 Make more visible the tasks PROYDE completes, from the internal level of the Association, to the society in general.

Activities

Maintain a strong relationship between the People Responsible for Communication in the Territorial Delegations. Create one group reunion throughout the year. Programmed in: October 2013

Continue amplifying the data base of the media and communication platforms of interest for PROYDE. The actions on both local and regional Media will be given preference. 

 Elaboration of at least one press notice of every EHDS and PROYDE Awareness proposal, in order to deliver the details and information to the press and other forms of media. 

 Continue promoting the institutional website, the principal instrument for communication, by doing a systematic follow-ups and improving its technical updates and services, as suggested by Area Departments of PROYDE.

Publish on the website at least one Project of Cooperation every month. Revise the Interactive Map of Projects monthly, and change the initial web page ¨Development Cooperation Projects¨ at least 3 times a year.

Have an anticipated schedule with important dates in an annual planner in order to facilitate the labor of the department. 

 Invigorate PROYDE´s channel on YouTube, publishing good quality videos that demonstrate PROYDE´s mission, vision, and values, through the activities completed by the Delegations or Groups of Volunteers, especially in the summer.

Invigorate the Face book page and profile. Promote in this social web the interaction between sponsors, volunteers and supporters through comments and ¨likes¨ on our news and activities.

Complete the general usage tools given by the Communication Platform Google Apps from the Main Center and the Territorial Delegations. Utilize Emails as a way to see PROYDE´s actions. 

Planning and preparation of the 5 newsletters throughout the year with information directed towards the sponsors and supporters of PROYDE. Collaborate with the electronic newsletters of the organization. 

 Create, at least two communication protocols specifically for: sponsors, enterprises, private institutions, public organisms and for the communication of activities to the Media. Those who facilitate activities of other areas expected in this Action Plan will have priority. 

 Take advantage of the power La Salle´s network for the communication of PROYDE: participate in the group of communication ARLEP and in Sallenet.

Social Corporate Responsibilities

Objective

Motivate the cooperation with the corporate sector as a long term associate in education and development, consolidating the existent relations and establishing at least 3 new ones.

Activities

Carry out at least 3 specific initiatives in order to inspire the collaboration of PROYDE´s Social Base in the RSE. 

Formalize of at least 3 new agreements or collaborations beginning with contacting at least 10 corporations.

Disclose the collaborations with the existent corporations, through a specific proposal of communication.

Consolidate a team of RSE that must incorporate the TD and the AA. At least one reunion will be set for the team.

Participate in at least one forum or conference with the NGO-corporations with PROYDE´s proposals.

Area of Internal Organization and Institutional Relations

Internal Organization

Objectives

Motivate the tasks of the local delegations and the formation of work teams, relying on the document "Structure and Functions of a Local Delegation" and in the creation of teams of coordination between delegations. 

Continue reinforcing the capacity and the quality of the Delegation´s actions, starting with the expected actions listed in the document ¨Thinking PROYDE in the future, ¨ while also evaluating our strategies and looking for improvement in our procedures.

Activities

Consolidate the procedures and process of PROYDE´s compromise with the CONGDE´s Transparency and Good Management.

Use of the procedures elaborated by TD Madrid by all the TD and the Local Delegations (LD); procedures that are based on the document ¨Structure and Function of a Local Delegation.¨ Also, use of the experiences of other TD that have demonstrated their efficiency in strengthening the LD. 

All the local delegations or groups of delegations, receive one visit a year from the Territorial Representative and/or a member of the Management Committee in order to strengthen the coordination and the accompanying local and territorial groups. 

Encourage the exchange of experiences within the TD throughout the teams of communication coordination, RSE, Volunteers, and a meeting that focuses on ¨New Fundraising Opportunities.¨

Set up a meeting for the analysis/evaluation on how TD-LD is operating: strengths, weaknesses, motivation of the local initiative, and the continuing formation. 

The management committee will revise the execution of the Action Plan once every trimester.

Institutional Relations

Objective

Unite forces to build long term relations with other cooperating agents from the North and the South, in order to achieve a more significant contribution towards education and human development.

Activities

Participate, with a leadership role, in the creation of a European Network of Lasallian NGO´s, and in actions inspired by this space of cooperation: formation for counterparts; combined financing of projects; and promotion of volunteer work. 

Continue having an active participation and leadership of PROYDE in REDES, by participating in at least 3 working teams. 

Active participation in the Council for Solidarity and Development of La Salle at a global level, strengthen the coordination with Solidarietá Internazionale Fundazione-ONLUS, and collaborate in the tasks that are developed within the function. 

Participate in a work group of the CONGDE.

Active participation in coordination with the sector FT, at least by being present and working in activities the State Coordinator of Fair Trade has prepared.

Collaborate with the Lasallian NGO in setting up startup action lines, approved in the 1st Assembly for the Mission by ARLEP District. 

Formalize the relations linked to the Institutions of Christian Brothers, ARLEP District, by the signing an agreement.

Strengthen the collaboration with the Universities La Salle, in promotion of justice, solidarity and human development.

Area of Cooperation towards Development (Projects)

Objective 1

Strengthen the work in consortium with other NGO in projects and programs of cooperation towards development, especially with the Lasallian NGO´s and with the ones grouped with REDES.

Activities

Reinforce the reach of group strategies, and try to increase the number of projects presented in partnerships with different types of financial backers.

Objective 2

Reinforce the search for alternative financing to the Spanish public administration, for the programs and projects of cooperation towards development.

Activities

Continue presenting projects to the UE: Prepare at least two requests for the UE during the year of 2013, in collaboration with some of our local counterparts, the RELEM´s NGO´s and the REDES NGO´s.

Present at least two projects to private international donors.

Explore the micro financing through the Information Technology, UMAEL, etc.; especially the projects linked to PROYDE´s annual campaign.

Promote fundraising for PROYDE´s concrete projects with Lasallian commemoration causes: Anniversaries of school centers, of Lasallian associations etc.

Objective 3

Strengthen the relationship with our counterparts, oriented towards results.

Activities

Continue the activities from 2012, formalizing the agreements with the counterparts until all possible numbers of local associates are recruited. Once completed, define a protocol of the procedures with the person in charge of the projects. 

Develop methodology and tools of evaluation for projects: Concretize the document about Cycle Management projects- PROYDE, revise and define the document Trip Reports, create an informational tool of project management, search for support specialized in it. 

Give continuity to the line of action in the Project Formation of the counterparts: Complete the elaboration and the startup action lines of the course on line for training in elaboration of projects, and invite more of the people responsible for projects of the counterparts, for this training at PROYDE.

Objective 4

Strengthen HR dedicated to projects through the specialized training.

Activities

Internal training on the basic use of informational tools designed for the work in projects, complete at least two sessions a year on the use of Excel and Word. 

 Continue searching courses and training sessions that could be useful for the department: Complete, at least, one specific training.

Objective 5

Optimize the procedures and means available for the management, follow-up and evaluation of the projects.

Activities

Improve in collaboration with the Communication Department, the data base of documents and graphics of the projects, so that it serves for the necessities of all other areas.

Consolidate a coordinated follow-up system on projects through a data base of constant updates, in accordance with all NGO´s that work within the consortium. Study the possibility of widening the system of Delegations.

Area of Human Resources and Economics

Objectives

Promote the integration of at least 50% of the volunteers who participated in the summer program to the local program. 

Improve the attention and personal value of the volunteer, orientating towards results, through formation and evaluation.

Consolidate the volunteer offers to other associations, particularly the young adults.

Value the volunteers as part of the mission and motor of PROYDE´s action plan.

Activities

Obtain the adoption of the common Itinerary of Formation of all Spanish Lasallian NGO´s by the Main Center, as well as the TD and the LD.

Maintain the registry of local volunteers up to date. Make sure all volunteers sign the ¨volunteer agreement¨

Consolidate the International Young Adult Volunteers through the application document: ¨Protocol for International Young Adult Volunteering short term projects in PROYDE. Small people¨- International Juvenile Volunteers in coordination with the TD, the LD and the Educative Centers. 

Promote the virtual platform of formation (Virtual Classroom) to train the volunteers in Local Delegations. Especially the volunteers of Fair Trade and other volunteers that support PROYDE´s actions.

Define the procedure for the follow-up and accompaniment of the summer volunteers in the TD that favors their incorporation to the Local Volunteer program. 

Provide the framed document that examines PROYDE´s commitment and the International short terms Volunteer commitment to the sheltered community to the volunteers as well as the sheltered communities themselves. 

Complete a study to widen volunteer opportunities. Individual volunteer work in short terms; Sending of groups out of the summer season, sending groups joined with the volunteers of RELAL. 

Continue participating in REDES training and volunteer groups.

Complete a 25 year anniversary that demonstrates the labor of the volunteers and that reunites all of the volunteers from the last trimester of the year. (see activities of the Area of Internal Organization)

Management and Donating Associates

Objectives

Increase the number of associates in at least 15% with respect to 2012.

Improve the adaptation of the management of people´s personal information of Transparency and Good Practices adopted by PROYDE. 

 Motivate the ethic entity by supporting the project FIARE.

Activities

Continue the campaign in order to reach the 3000 donating associates. 

Work out the specific proposals for obtaining private funds included in the document ¨Thinking PROYDE in the future¨: Proposals 1, 6, 8 and the proposal 4-6 of the AMEL district, with La Salle. 

Participate in the promotion of the initiative FIARE in at least one autonomous community and diffuse the entity proposal internally as well as externally. 

Maintain a Data Base of all people: associates, volunteers, donors etc… Always include when available the information on email addresses and social web pages of all volunteers and associates, in order for an increased, accelerated and cheapened communication with them.

Carry out an offer of loyalty and fundraising in our social base, through batches of products commemorating PROYDE´s 25 year anniversary.

Administration and Accounting

Objectives

Continue improving the adaptation of the economic management in territorial delegations to the procedures of Transparency and Good Practices adopted by PROYDE.

Activities

Carry out and Present a Board Meeting for the annual budget in all the territorial delegations, following the available procedure. 

Take advantage of the opportunities offered by the bank sector, especially the change of currency and the generation of tools that control its management: report the monthly accountability situation.

Apoyar las iniciativas que favorezcan procesos de mejora de la salud familiar. Centros de salud primaria y hospitales tienen una función insustituible en la mejora de la salud de las poblaciones desfavorecidas. Pero hay un nivel anterior y es la correcta alimentación de los niños y su cuidado inmediato. En ese nivel se encuentran las mujeres. El acceso a la educación y su duración es un factor determinante en lo que se refiere al cuidado de la salud familiar y de las comunidades locales.
